01 THE PERSONAL ESSAY

Curiosity and enthusiasm have to be my two superpowers.  Any skills I have, any leaps leapt, hearts or minds touched, have come about because of these qualities. (I am also tenacious and wake up crazy early – but let’s keep our fuzzies warm here.) 

I like to dive into interesting challenges and surface big ideas connected to hard working tactics: from brand platform to performance, digital to film, social – all strategic, all naturally connected and tuned to media. I have led teams on large, global accounts at places like Ogilvy and Havas. And won pitches against global agencies as a one man band. 

When I am not mucking about in this marketing wonderland, you will likely find me at the pottery wheel trying to keep my pots spinning on center.

  • Grew 150K project into 12MM retainer – expanding remit outside agency’s core competencies.
  • Creative lead on team that saved 85MM global client from walking out the door.
  • Founded virtual agency and grew to 2.5MM billings with enviable margins in one year.
  • Pitched and won as new agency on the block against established global AORs.

05 The timeline

Agency Bootstrap | Founder

3/18 – Present

Launched agency with soup to nuts service offering: advertising, performance, digital and app design and media management. Clients include the Simons Foundation, Global Citizen, Lysol, Finish, d-CON, and Cryoskin.

Ogilvy & Mather | Creative Director

05/13 – 3/18

Brought in to save the global Philips account. Mission accomplished. Went on to create award winning work for Nationwide and IBM. In 2017, oversaw several IBM business units with over $12 million in billing.

Havas Worldwide | Creative Director

06/12 -05/13, NY

Led the Diageo account which included Johnnie Walker and Bailey’s. Won Don Julio.

Here and There | Freelance Creative

06/11 – 06/12, SF

Great to see how different shops operate, including: Razorfish, Mortar, and Anthem. Created digital content platforms for Intel, Lenovo, Michelob Ultra and StubHub.
